Lighthouse Ghost Tour
See for yourself why we are consistently ranked as one of the most haunted sites in St. Augustine! We offer multiple options for this experience (see below).
Dark of the Moon Ghost Tour: This 1.5 to 2 hour tour includes a guided talk through the 1876 Keepers’ House and the 1874 St. Augustine Lighthouse tower. Your guide will share true tales from the history of our Light Station. Tours are offered year round on Friday, Saturday and Sundays and more days during peak times.
Dark of the Moon Investigation Only: See for yourself why we are consistently ranked as one of the most haunted sites in St. Augustine! Investigation Only tours are offered on a more limited basis than the Ghost Tour, with fewer spaces available at each. Rent readers or bring your own equipment.
Lighthouse Ghost Tales: Hear the histories and hauntings of the St. Augustine Lighthouse in this one (1) hour guided tour of the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. A guide will lead you through the Lightkeepers’ House, grounds, and to the base of the Lighthouse tower sharing the ghost tales of the Lighthouse. This tour is great for families, children, and those interested in the history of the ghosts of the lighthouse.

Lighthouse Keeper’s Tour
Experience a personal, hour-long visit with St. Augustine’s Lighthouse Keeper as you stroll around the station and climb a working lighthouse. Bring all of your questions and imagination. Learn what it was like to be a lighthouse keeper of the past and today. This experience is offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM. Call 904-829-0745 to book this tour.
Lighthouse Illuminations
Visit the Museum during this winter season of Tides, Tidings, and Trees. Daytime general admission tickets get you in the door to enjoy seasonally decorated grounds and buildings. For an extraordinary experience, purchase after-hours Lighthouse Illumination tickets. Discover 21 uniquely decorated trees, each with a distinct theme. Explore the Keepers’ house and grounds illuminated by lights and garlands, and enjoy a sensational view of the lighthouse’s night mark.

Sunset Moonrise
Once a month, guests are treated to a spectacular view of Mother Nature’s nightly changing of the guard. From your vantage point on top of the lighthouse tower, you can watch the sun disappear behind historic St. Augustine while the full moon ascends from the Atlantic horizon. In addition to the breathtaking view, guests are treated to complimentary champagne* and hors d’oeuvres.

Sunrise, Lens Room Tour
One hundred and sixty-five feet above the ground, our original 1874 first-order, Fresnel lens still shines out over St. Augustine night and day. This gorgeous, handmade marvel of scientific engineering and artistry is nine feet tall, weighs two tons, and is composed of more than 370 handmade glass prisms. Because of the historical value and delicate nature of the lighthouse lens, the general public is only able to view it from a window below the lens room, just inside the gallery deck at the top of the lighthouse. For a closer look at the lens (and to see the best view in all of Northeast Florida), you can make reservations for a private lens room tour.
