LUMINARY NIGHT: A COMMUNITY EVENT

A family-friendly event hosted by the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum as a thank you to the community for supporting our mission all year long.

On the first Wednesday of December from 6-9pm, 2,000 Luminaries are displayed throughout the lighthouse grounds, Lighthouse Park,
the St. Augustine Yacht Club, and along Red Cox Road.

Enjoy yuletide musical performances by local student choirs and community groups occur through out the property and in various exhibit spaces.

Annual boat drawing for the 2024 Heritage Boat Works Drawing Boats at 8pm.

  • Visit our new exhibit, Reflections: A Celebration of 150 Years of Service
  • Kids crafts, painting and games
  • Take photos with your favorite superhero & prince/princesses
  • Meet our skilled boatwrights and get a closer look at the art of wooden boat building.
  • Boat drawing at 8 pm.
  • See artifact conservation in action in the Conservation Lab
  • Food & Beverages available for purchase at The Tin Pickle Cafe

Community Involvement

Yuletide Musical Performances by local student choirs and community groups throughout the evening.

We rely on the charitable support of the community.

  • Grab a Yard Sign and help us continue the 150th Anniversary! Click here. 
  • In the spirit of giving-back, the museum is accepting donations of non-perishable goods for St. Francis House at each entry gate.

Know Before You Go

Climbing the Tower: Night climbs are available starting at 6 pm. Last climb is at 8:40 pm. Children must be 44 inches to climb the tower and will be measured when waiting in line to climb.

Parking:  Parking is free but limited and we recommend carpooling. Additional parking is available across the street at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. 

Donations: We are accepting donations at this event. We are seeking donations of nonperishable goods for the St. Francis House at the points of entry.
