Nation’s Oldest Port® Camps

Summer Camp 2024

The Nation’s Oldest Port Summer Camp at St. Augustine Lighthouse offers an exciting and enriching experience for children in grades 1-4th, igniting their curiosity and fostering a love for exploration and learning. Spanning five weeks, each week is dedicated to a unique theme, led by experienced teachers who engage campers in STEAM activities, crafts, and educational adventures. Weekly field trips align with themes and enhance their learning experience, allowing campers to explore our rich history and natural wonders of St. Augustine. 

1st – 4th Grade

Fees & Options & Times

Summer Camp: 9 a.m. – 4 .p.m. Daily

Drop Off Begins at 8:45 a.m.

* Camp can be purchased with or without daily lunches. Pizza lunch will be provided for all campers on Fridays.
Camp with Lunch per week- $295
Camp without Lunch per week – $250

The Museum’s Summer Camp is led by a certified teachers and camp counselors.

Campers learn and explore through hands-on activities and experiences based on state standards. 

Campers receive: Backpack, Water Bottle, T-Shirt, Daily STEM Activities, & Friday Pizza Lunch

“Where the Wild Things Are”

June 10 – 14
Campers will learn about the wild life that thrives in the exotic Florida environment.

Week Two: “Underwater Investigators”

 

June 17 – 21
Campers will learn about maritime archaeology while investigating shipwrecks and how historians uses information to learn about the past.

“Sailing Through St. Augustine”

June 24 – 28
Campers will learn about sailing and boatbuilding techniques used by Heritage Boatworks.

Week Four:
“Colonial St. Augustine”

July 8 – 12
Campers will embark on a journey through time and dive into a captivating history of colonial St. Augustine.

“Creatures of the Deep”

July 15 – 19
Dive into the mysterious world beneath the waves as campers discover the creatures that call it home.

Week Two – Tour of the St. Augustine Lighthouse Maritime Archaeology Program’s (LAMP) research vessel “Empire Defender”

Week Three – Schooner Freedom Sailboat Ride

Week Four – Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park

Week Five – St. Augustine Aquarium

Cancellation & Refund Policy St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum

We reserve the right to combine or cancel classes that have not met the minimum enrollment. Campers will be placed in an alternative class when possible. If St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum cancels a class, the payment will be fully refunded. No refunds will be granted on or after the first day of the camp session. All registrations are subject to camp availability.
