Shop local on Nov. 30 during Small Business Saturday® and on Dec. 1 during Museum Store Sunday in the gift shop at the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Shoppers can find one-of-a-kind items such as ornaments, art and photography, mugs, t-shirts, replicas, educational items, hot sauces, San Sebastian wines, jewelry, fudge, lighthouse souvenirs, and more. Some offerings are handcrafted in St. Augustine and the north Florida area by local artisans.

“We are thrilled to participate in Small Business Saturday and Museum Store Sunday and will offer mission-related gift options. Proceeds will help support our nonprofit Museum,” said Museum Executive Director Kathy Fleming.

On Nov. 30, you can be a part of the 10th annual holiday shopping tradition that helps to bring communities together in support of their favorite small businesses. In fact, for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stays in our local community.  American Express, in the midst of the recession in 2010, created Small Business Saturday® on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to encourage people to Shop Small and bring more holiday shopping to small businesses.

For the third consecutive year, more than 1,200 museum stories representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 15 countries, and four continents will offer inspired shopping at museums and cultural institutions during Museum Store Sunday on Dec. 1.

Museum Store Sunday has become the global annual day to Be a Patron and shop conscientiously, supporting museum stores and museum missions worldwide. For up-to-date information on Museum Store Sunday, go to museumstoresunday.org.
