Lighthouse & Museum Cancels Veterans Day Ceremony Due to Threat of Inclement WeatherMon, Nov 09 2009 Due to the threat of inclement weather caused by Tropical Storm Ida the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum is canceling its Veterans Day Ceremony. The annual event, which is one of the largest in the county, was scheduled to start at 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2009.The museum would like to thank the scheduled feature speaker Rear Admiral Tim M. Jenkins, USNR (Ret.), thank all those who serve, and specially recognize Sgt. Major Ray A. Quinn, ARNGUS (Ret), Duane Reyelts, former Chief Petty Officer, USN and Jim Gaffe, former E-4 Coxswain, USN, for their extraordinary service to the United States and its citizens. |
