Scouts explore the museum and grounds on a 90-minute self-guided program for Daises & Brownies/Cub Scout & Weblos and Juniors & Boy Scouts and earn a merit badge (available from the museum store).

General Public and Senior Guided Tours and Programs

Behind the Scenes Tours: Daily Behind the Scenes tours is a guided tour of the historic site, museum, and maritime archaeology conservation area. Go to the Museum's Plan Your Visit webpage for more information on this fun and informative tour.

Tiny Clues: Offered twice daily, this program allows children of all ages to get hands-on with history by searching for tiny clues that solve some of the biggest mysteries shipwrecks can bury. Go to the Museum's Plan Your Visit webpage for more information on this hands-on fun program.

Maritime Hammock Scavenger Hunt: Enjoy learning about the environment and how lighthouse keepers used it in their daily lives. Explore the Maritime Hammock habitat for plants and animals while learning medicinal and historic uses of plants found there. The scavenger hunt cards can be found at the entrance to the Maritime Hammock trails.

Lighthouse & Maritime Museum TourWe offer this guided tour for groups of adults and seniors upon request. The hour and a half tour focuses on aspects of maritime history as it relates to the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Seniors may also participate in a tour through Elderhostel, a non-profit organization committed to being the preeminent provider of high quality, affordable, educational opportunities for older adults.
