(ST. AUGUSTINE, FL) - The First Light Maritime Society and the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Museum awarded 50 Steve Senecal scholarships for under-served children to attend “Sailors and Keepers and Scientists… Oh My!”

One mother hoped that summer camp might partially make up for the fact that her son is missing time with his father, who is serving in Iraq. Another, a full-time student, thought the camp would be a great reward for her daughter’s hard work during the school year. The stories are all different; however, the parents and guardians of all 50 were certain they couldn’t afford to ....
